One healthy + one decadent hot chocolate
One healthy and one decadent hot chocolate. Choose which one you prefer, and let it warm your body and soul on a cold winters day.
Healthy hot chocolate
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoon cacao powder
- 2 1/2 tablespoon muscovado sugar
- 2/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch sea salt
Decadent hot chocolate
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 oz dark chocolate with at least 70% cacao content
- 2/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch sea salt
- brown sugar if needed.
Bring water or milk to a simmer, not boil.
Add cacao powder and whisk until no lumps remain. If you use chocolate, whisk until all chocolate has melted, about 5 minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients and whisk until suger and salt has melted.
Pour the hot chocolate into a high glass or cup, and top with whipped cream. Dust with cacao powder.
